Because you know your horse

You know when they’re
not quite themselves.

You notice the little things. The feed left behind. The missing spark. The days when your horse just doesn’t seem comfortable.

When you care that much, feeding can start to feel complicated. We believe there’s value in coming back to the foundations: good fibre, a balanced ration, and the right advice for your horse.

A simpler place to start
01 / THE FOUNDATION

Put fibre first.

A horse’s digestive system is built around forage. Alkapellet brings high-alkaline fibre into your existing feeding routine.

02 / THE EVERYDAY

Support from within.

Designed to help maintain gut health and support feed digestibility as part of a balanced diet.

03 / THE PEOPLE

Ask Faye a question
What exactly is Alkapellet PH Plus?

A high-alkaline fibre pellet supplied in a 20kg bag for inclusion in a horse’s daily feed. It is intended to support digestive wellbeing as part of an appropriately balanced ration.

How do I introduce it to my horse?

The published guide recommends introducing Alkapellet gradually over two weeks. Begin with a small handful in each feed and build up to the appropriate amount. See the feeding guide and check your current bag label.

Can I feed it to a competition horse?

Read the competition guidance before use. The existing product guidance specifically advises against feeding on race days and notes possible contamination from naturally occurring seeds. Check current rules with your governing body and veterinarian.

My horse’s gut still isn’t right. What should I do?

Persistent loose manure, weight loss, discomfort or changes in behaviour can have several causes. Speak to your veterinarian for an assessment. A feed change is not a diagnosis or a replacement for prescribed treatment.

Where can I buy a bag?

Alkapellet is available through rural stockists. Browse the stockist directory or call Faye on 0419 194 184 for help finding a store. Call ahead to confirm availability and pricing.
